Industry: BBC confirms start date for highly-anticipated Industry series 3

Industry series 3 is coming soon, the BBC has finally confirmed after what feels like a hefty wait.

The long-awaited new season of Industry has an October start date, and a pretty exciting addition to the cast (if you were a Game of Thrones fan).

When is the start date of Industry series 3?

The BBC has announced that Industry will return for series 3 on Tuesday, October 01, 2024.

All eight episodes will be available on BBC iPlayer from 6am, with the third season launching on BBC One at 10:40pm that night.

Each episode will be roughly one hour.

How can I watch Industry series 1 and 2?

Industry series 1 and 2 are currently available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

Series 1 began in 2020, consisting of eight episodes. It introduced the cut-throat world of Pierpoint via five grads who joined the pre-eminent financial institution.

Series 2 followed in 2022, and was also eight episodes. This time the stakes were even higher for the remaining staff.

Series 3 was promptly commissioned, and will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in October 2024.

What is the plot of Industry series 3?

Industry series 3 will "plunge viewers back into the unrelenting world of high finance".

Once again, we'll follow a group of young bankers attempting to forge their identities within the pressure cooker environment of international bank Pierpoint & Co's London office. Oh, and expect loads of sex, mind games, and manipulation.

This series, there's a new CEO Henry Muck. He's the founder of Lumi, an green tech energy company about to go public.

In season three, Pierpoint looks to the future and takes a big bet on ethical investing, while the desk find themselves front and centre in the splashy IPO of Lumi.

Who is in the cast of Industry series 3?

Game of Thrones legend Kit Harington joins the cast as Henry Muck, the CEO and Founder of Lumi.

Meanwhile, Industry's returning cast includes Myha'la Herrold (now going by just her first name) who places complicated Harper.

Marisa Abela - fresh from playing Amy Winehouse in the biopic - returns as Yasmin, while Harry Lawtey stars as Robert.

Other returning cast members include Ken Leung, Conor MacNeill, Sagar Radia, Indy Lewis, Adam Levy, Sarah Parish, Trevor White, Elena Saurel and Irfan Shamji.

More newbies include Sarah Goldberg as Petra Koenig, Miriam Petche as Sweetpea Golightly, Andrew Havill as Lord Norton, Roger Barclay as Otto Mostyn, Fady Elsayed as Ali El Mansour, and Fiona Button as Denise Oldroyd.

Industry series 3 streams on BBC iPlayer from 6am on Tuesday, October 01, 2024. It launches on BBC One at 10:40pm that night.
