The Good Ship Murder continues on its murderous voyage across Europe - and episode 2 of series 2 sees Jack and Kate dock in Gran Canaria.

The pair are still feeling the sting from their fallout in Rome, with each of them trying to suppress their growing feelings for each other. Well, if the will-they-won't-they format ain't broke, why fix it?!

Adding fuel to the fire, Piers steps into his new role as Staff Captain with "calculated charm", hoping to rekindle his relationship with Kate. But the main drama here is when former copper Jack recognises a familiar face on board the cruise ship.

Coronation Street fans might not be too surprised to see actor Greg Wood play another dodgy criminal. Here's everything you need to know about the guest cast of The Good Ship Murder series 2 episode 2...

Greg Wood plays Mickey Eldergill in the cast of The Good Ship Murder series 2 episode 2

Manchester-born Greg Wood, 45, guest stars as notorious ex-con Mickey Eldergill in the cast of The Good Ship Murder episode 2 as the second series continues.

Jack, a former detective, recognises him on board the cruise ship - and he has every right to be worried as things soon take a sinister turn.

Now, Greg Wood playing a villain is nothing new to soap fans. His first ever TV role was playing drug dealer Terry Gibson in Brookside between 2002 and 2003.

He went on to play gangster Trevor Royle in Hollyoaks for three years, from 2013 to 2016. His next significant part was ill-fated loan shark Rick Neelan in Coronation Street (2009-2022).

Of course, soap addicts will probably know that Greg is the brother of fellow actor Matt Milburn, who has also starred in Hollyoaks and Coronation Street.

Greg's other notable roles include Docker in Casualty 1907, Skin in Emmerdale, Johnny Fargot in Casualty, and Mia's Dad Ray Blackwood in The A List.

More recently, he's portrayed Barry MacDonagh in Brassic - another career criminal! Will someone PLEASE cast Greg as a romantic lead in something?
