Nadiya’s Cook Once, Eat Twice

BBC Two, 7.30pm

Celebrity chef Nadiya Hussain is back with a new series offering tips and tricks for making the food shop go that little bit further. Her philosophy is 'cook once, eat twice', meaning her meals can later be transformed into a second delicious dish. In the first episode, Nadiya elevates leftover salad leaves to create a creamy pasta salad; old potatoes become tasty bean and potato cakes; and over-ripe bananas become a mouth-watering dessert. She also shares her recipe for carrot soup, which can be adapted into a second meal later in the week.

Designing the Hebrides

BBC Two, 7pm

Interior Design Masters champion and Scotland's Home of the Year judge Banjo Beale returns to the Hebrides, where he supports local businesses with stunning makeovers. As a tiny community with difficult transport links, this archipelago off Scotland's western coast represents a logistical nightmare for Beale. The payoff, however, sees these small businesses reemerge with interiors that match their location as one of the most beautiful places in the country. Episode one sees the star visit Easdale, which has a population of just 60, to transform local boozer The Puffer Pub.

Trump's Heist: The President Who Wouldn't Lose

Channel 4, 9pm

American political insiders and former Trump supporters tell the disconcerting true story of how Donald Trump attempted to subvert US politics after his 2020 election loss. After rival Biden's resounding win at the polls, Trump replaced his advisors with loyalists who strategised over how to take it from him. They planned to convince America that the election was stolen, pressuring local officials to comply. Due to the integrity of Arizona Republican officials, many of whom voted for Trump, the attempts came to nothing.
