ITV originals Midsomer Murders and Changing Ends make a welcome return
Midsomer Murders is finally back - with two new episodes from series 23. Debt of Lies sees Barnaby and Winter (Neil Dudgeon and Nick Hendrix) investigate the deaths of two detectives, with guest star Tom Conti. Meanwhile, A Grain of Truth explores the poisoning of a successful businesswoman.
Alan Carr’s semi-autobiographical comedy Changing Ends, starring the joyful Oliver Savell as young Alan, is back with series two. Now 12, Alan has bullies, puberty and a local knicker thief to contend with. Maggie Steed, who Alan describes as "absolutely amazing" in the role, joins the cast as his "stern" nan.
A-listers Hugh Bonneville and Karen Gillan lead the cast of Steven Moffatt-penned four-part drama Douglas Is Cancelled. Beloved TV anchor Douglas (Bonneville) risks being ‘cancelled’ after he’s accused of making a sexist remark at a wedding. Is his daytime TV co-star Madeline (Gillan) a friend - or foe?
Orphan Black: Echoes, the sequel to award-winning sci-fi Orphan Black, picks up 37 years from where the original series ended. Kira, now an adult doctor, meets a patient who is suffering from amnesia. Who is she, and could her experience be related to the illegal cloning experiment Kira's mother Sarah was involved in?
